20 Minutes of Stillness

Being still is a beautiful way to recharge and declutter the mind. I admit, sometimes I do not sit still well because my mind loves to race and engage in all types of conversations.  Sometimes, your internal dialog over-powers sound wisdom, or the healthiest decision that you can make in a given moment and you become lost in the sea of your internal conversations or arguments. It can be so overwhelming that you feel isolated and defeated.

Lets bounce back today! Breath in through your nostrils, hold for 4 seconds and breath out through your mouth. Be still for 20 minutes today.  Remember how powerful it is to sit still and just breath.

Being intentional about our self care takes effort, sometimes lots of it. We become so programmed in “doing” that we do not realize we are rewiring neurological pathways to neglect areas of life that may matter most. Lets pry ourselves off the laptop, turn the phone on airplane mode, or if you are really brave, turn the phone completely off  *smile.  Find a quiet place and play soft instrumental music in the background if needed. Close the door to internal voices that seek to invade your peace and sit still as best as you can.  Just Breath and Be . . . Present . . . in the Moment.

Recognize any negative or defeating thoughts. Hold them captive with each breath in, then release with each breath out.

You are enough . . . Breath In . . . Breath Out.

Everything you need to succeed today is available in your moment of stillness. It is reachable and tangible . . . Breath and Be . . . Present . . . in the Moment Today.
